Environmental Dewatering Monitored by Water Quality Monitoring System Provides Filtration Solution

Rain for Rent, New Jersey was contacted by an environmental company for a dewatering and filtration solution for a multi-acre pond with extremely low pH.  The pH needed to be adjusted between 6.5 and 8 before effluent could be sent to the water treatment plant.

Looking for a simple solution, the project manager conducted a job walk with Rain for Rent personnel.  After obtaining and documenting the customer's specifications, Rain for Rent's filtration specialist and engineering department designed a stand-alone, turnkey pH adjustment system that only required periodic maintenance.

The system consisted of a Stainless Steel DV-100 four-inch electric pump, 800 feet of HDPE pipe, an 18,000 gallon mixer tank, a 4,900 gallon EZ Kleen™ tank, a 2,450 gallon polyethylene tank, an HH-80 3-inch electric pump, a PWQMS (Portable Water Quality Monitoring System) used in conjunction with an AnDRU box pump controller, and numerous Radar Level Gauges connected to an Alarm Agent as well as a backup system.

After several weeks of submittals, Rain for Rent received the order to provide and install the complete filtration system, bringing in a Solutions specialist to ensure proper wiring of the controls.  The system treated over 600 gpm of contaminated water during a three-month period while the environmental company ensured proper chemical treatment.

The system enabled the customer to concentrate on other areas within their jobsite while the dewatering occurred, saving time and money.  Call Rain for Rent for a simple Solution to your liquid-handling problem.
