A major pipeline owner planned expansion to one of its largest crude oil pipelines in the U.S. The owner needed to bypass the segment that would be built, without disturbing the oil supply for refineries.
The pipeline contractor hired to build the expansion chose Rain for Rent to provide a bypass with 24 steel tanks, four 12-inch DV300i pumps that provided the flows needed to keep the crude oil pipeline in service during construction.
Spillguards were placed under every tank and pump in the system. These Spillguards combined with Rain for Rent's experience with pipeline work helped to provide a 100% spill-free bypass while mitigating risks and keeping the job on schedule for both the pipeline owner and pipeline contractor.
